Temple in, 'Nova out in latest polls

For the first time in 56 weeks, Villanova is not considered one of the top 25 teams in the land by either The Associated Press or the USA Today/ESPN Coaches polls.
The Wildcats dropped with the third team receiving votes in the A.P. poll and the second school receiving votes in the Coaches poll. Villanova had been ranked in every poll since the start of the 2008-09 season.
The drop is not a shock. Villanova has lost four in a row, six of eight and nine of its last 14 games. It is the second straight year the Wildcats took a nosedive at the end of the season. Villanova began the 2009-10 season 20-1 only lose seven of its last 12 games.
The Wildcats hope to end their slide against South Florida Tuesday night in the opening round of the Big East Tournament.
Meanwhile, Temple is back in both polls. The Owls are No. 24 in the A.P. poll and 25th in the Coaches poll.
