Villanova is still in the mix for St. Patrick's forward Michael Gilchrest, considered the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2011.
That's the word from Alex Schwartz from the NBE Basketball report.
"I like Villanova a lot," Gilchrest told Schwartz after last week's Prime Time Shootout in Trenton.
The 6-7 senior forward listed Villanova among his six favorites. The others are Oregon, Kentucky, Texas, Michigan and Georgia Tech.
Gilchrest has been to Villanova several times. He was spotted at two football games in the fall and was in attendance Monday night when the Wildcats fell to Connecticut at the Wachovia Center.
The Somerdale, N.J. native is an AAU teammate of Villanova signee Markus Kennedy.
