Men's lacrosse pairings announced
Winning the Centennial Conference championship paid off for the Haverford men's lacrosse team.
The NCAA Division III Tournament pairings were released Sunday night and the 17th-ranked Fords (11-5) received a first-round bye.
Haverford hosts the winner of Wednesday's first-round matchup between No. 7 Dickinson (14-2) and Ohio Wesleyan (10-3) in Carlisle.
Ninth-ranked Cabrini and Widener also qualified for the D-III Tournament. The Cavaliers (14-3) host No. 14 Denison (10-3) in Wednesday's first round. The Pride (10-9) travel to Springfield, Mass. Wednesday.
Times of the games will be announced sometime Monday.
Haverford earned its third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament when it defeated Gettysburg for its first Centennial Conference title. That was good enough to earn the Fords one of the nine byes in the 23-team field.
Cabrini qualified for the ninth straight time by winning its 10th consecutive CSAC championship.
Widener earned its fifth trip to the tournament by winning the MAC title Saturday with a victory over FDU-Florham.
